Influx is a project I worked on over the course of 10 weeks. I worked with a programmer to procedurally generate the placement of the houses on the island. Over the 10 week period, we worked from conceptualization of the island and the story behind it to the final artwork you see here. I was responsible for the foliage and the houses. We decided to keep it fairly simple in terms of models and textures. The houses themselves are based on houses seen in ghettos of some real-world areas. The houses we used as references were very blocky and very much just stacked on top of one another.
Tools used: Maya, Unreal Engine 4, Adobe Photoshop, and Substance Painter
